My grandson is 11 months old. He doesn't like to have his hands touched by anyone, even his mom or dad. When you try to hold his hand he pulls it away. We thought this was just a "quirk" of his personality, but I was recently told that it could be an early sign of autism. None of my kids ever had this particular quirk, and I don't know of anyone else who has. Is this normal, like we thought initially? Could it be an early sign of autism (he doesn't have any of the other signs I looked up)? This is out of my experience, and I could use some input.

DO NOT CLICK IN THE YELLOW BOX?

Why Not?

My 4&half year old son has adhd and signs of autism can someone give us some more advise on this ,he seems to be in his own world alot and does NOT feel pain but screams if he taps his toe is this normal ,thanks very confused parents

My little boy who is 3, has a school diagnosis of autism. And we go next week to a developmental pediatrician for a medical diagnosis. I am looking for any online support groups for parents. Any ideas?

What is a doctor who treats autism called? Is it a psychiatrist, a neurologist, or like an occupational therapist?

Somebody at my school who couldn't really speak except for my name (I think he had autism) would always come up to me and he would put his hand to the side of his face and I have no idea what he was trying to say! He would also put his palm up and tap with his index finger in the middle of his palm. If anyone knows what either or both means please let me know!

These might help
