Author: We have been with our ped for 2 years now. In January I began to notice delays in my daughters development, which I voiced concern to my ped several times. After several pleas to see a specialist she reassured me that everything was okay and that my daughter was just 'behind'. After reading on the internet the signs of Autism ( for the first time) I typed out a formal letter explaining why I thought my daughter might have Autism and again another request to see a specialist. 2 months later , and 6 months from the time of my intial concern we were referred and my daughter was diagnoised with Autism. My son is now delayed and the doctor is saying the same thing she did with my daughter. I told her about all the time lost with my daughter and that I wanted my son looked at and she told me I needed to get a new pediatrican. I made the app. with the new ped but it's not for a couple weeks. Is there nothing I can do. I don't want her to waste months for another child in my same situation
