think I have Autism/Asperger's Syndrome. Although I don't want to go to a doctor to find out but I know I have to. I dont want to talk to my parents or tell them about it though. I tell my friends things that I wont even tell my parents.
How can I find out if I have this condition without going through to see a doctor/telling parents etc..
My friend has already told me, she thinks I have slight autism because of the symptoms I show. Im never at home for my parents to know. Im always staying over at my friends house and thats probably why they know more.
-I can't talk to people that I dont know, I get scared and dont understand.
-Excessive fears.
-Eating Disturbances.
-Have no information while I speak
-Sometimes I dont respond to my name, Iv been told.
-Dont play like other kids my age
-Prefer being alone
-Have no friends. I have like 1 friend (The one thats house im always staying over at) Im close to her mum, shes the one who tells me I could have autism because she knows.
-Obsessed with one particular object or topic
-Have poor judgement
-Run into a busy street without any sign of fear
-Difficult in learning at school. Difficulty concentrating.
Someone please help and tell me. thanks.

Even though I haven't gotten a proper diagnosis Perhaps you cn help if i tell u some signs that he has?? Well he is smart he know his letter knows there sound and know how to writ them(thanks 2 leap frog) He knows his numbers,shapes,he also knows how to put things together like 4 ex. he loves Thomas the tank and if he were to see the box and how the picture looks hell build it the same way, he is a real perfectionist, though he i sensitive to sound , he repeats alot, he refers to himself as instead of saying i he says his name??So what do u all think ?/

I'd like to give to my son music therapy. Another Autism mom told me she bought her son's equipment through Vital Sign online, but I haven't found it. Where can I buy the headphone & CDs??? I don't really have money to pay a Music Therapist for it, since it'd be much more expensive. Where can I get this stuff??? My son's school OT told me she'd teach me to use the technique if I buy the CDs & headphone. She's also searching where to find them but not successfully so far.

My daughter is due to have her mmr vaccine in 3 weeks. My husband and I had decided that we were going to have the vaccine separated. When my husband spoke to the dr today to tell her that we were planning on separating the shot, she went on to tell him that there is no proof that the mmr vaccine causes autism and told him that the vaccines are now thimerosol free. She managed to change his mind and now he doesn't think that we need to separate the vaccine. I don't know what to do. I fully intend on giving her the vaccine I just don't know whether or not I should separate it or give her the 3in1. What would or did you do with your child? What are your opinions on this subject? Thank you in advance.
